The Martian

The Martian is a fun and brilliant film with perfect direction by Ridley Scott, superb acting by Matt Damon, and a great screenplay written by Drew Goddard. Damon is an astronaut who gets accidentally left on Mars with limited supplies after being thought dead and must survive before rescue arrives for another year. Scott once again delivers a film with not only a great story, but also amazing effects, and really funny moments. The fact that it was nominated and won for a Best Comedic Film award at the Golden Globes is one of the biggest mistakes any award show has done. One minor nitpick about the film is that to me I feel that it should have taken a bit longer for NASA to know that Damon was alive. Over all: 99%
