Maggie

One of the biggest surprises that I found in movies this year is in Maggie, a horror drama centering about a father overcoming her daughter slowly turning into a zombie. What was surprising is that the father was played by Arnold Schwarzenegger who gives a rather well done, meaning, and true performance opposite Abigail Breslin, who plays the daughter. This film proves that even actors known mostly for action-packed, beefed up, gun-happy action films can pull of great performances outside their comfort zones. Though it's a bit slow at times, it's still a great character study and you never feel like Arnold ever phones his performance in. Over all: 94%
