Pixels

With a very interesting concept of aliens using 1980s video game characters to invade Earth and being directed by Chris Columbus, one would think this would make Pixels one of the best things in movies in recent history. Well, you add Adam Sandler and his production company and you get what could have been one of the most creative films ever made and now becomes just another lazy attempt for Sandler to make money. With lazy jokes, many of them even outright sexist at times, and a story with too many plot holes and things that don't really make any sense and only there due to laziness, Pixels could have been a very cherished film and not just another of Adam Sandler's attempt of getting a free vacation without even trying. Some positive things that nearly save it are Josh Gad and Peter Dinklage, the amazing effects, and the '80s nostalgia. Over all: 40%
