Trumbo

Bryan Cranston once again shows his great acting talent by portraying Dalton Trumbo, a man who was kept from writing films throughout the 1950s due to his Communist beliefs. Trumbo looks at a time in America's and Hollywood's history that is both fascinating and shameful. Though the film takes some liberties with history, the film is still fun to watch for all the historical references especially the ones about films. One thing of note is Hellen Mirren's performance as Hedda Hopper where she manages to make herself very hateful. Over all: 98%
